CHAIR-ISH ELY
Chair-ish Ely is a unique Incredible Ely fundraiser where Ely High School Industrial Arts students build Adirondack chairs and local artists decorate them in their own unique style! The finished chairs are then displayed by sponsoring businesses across downtown Ely.
Chair-ish Entries are showcased at the Whiteside Park Farmers Market and at participating local businesses in July leading up to the Blueberry Arts Festival.
We will resume the Auction/Fundraiser in 2023 and the Auction/Fundraiser will be held Friday, Saturday and Sunday, July 28th, 29th, and 30th, at the Blueberry Arts Festival. The auction will conclude at 1:30 PM Sunday the 30th.
The Auction is also available online in July prior to the start of the Blueberry Arts Festival with suggested bid amounts and a buy it now price for those unable to attend the Festival in person.
ARTIST SIGN UP
Based on artists feedback this year we have 10 full size Adirondack chairs that have undergone additional sanding in preparation for your creation. As we have a limited number of chairs, artists will be selected by Incredible Ely throughout the spring.
The chairs will be made available to the selected artists and each selected artist will receive a $50 supply stipend. The chairs will need to be completed by June 30th so that supporting businesses may display the chairs prior to the Blueberry Arts Festival. (a friendly progress check-in will occur in April and May)
BUSINESS SPONSORSHIP SIGN UP
The chairs will be delivered to the selected sponsors in late June and early July. Chairs will also be showcased during the Tuesday night Farmers Market at Whiteside Park.
